
DIY Float Trips
All Float trips base out of Fairbanks Alaska after a commercial flight in you will board a float plane and fly into a remote drop off point to begin your float trip. As with most Alaskan hunts 10 days is the standard length of trip for a caribou and moose hunt it is possible to do a shorter trip for a caribou only expedition but more days is always better to ensure the best chance for success.
Where
Float trips take place in the Brooks Range there are literally hundreds of rivers that can be floated we will work with you to find a good fit for your hunt and ensure that the river you are on is not crowded.
When
Caribou season runs from August 10th through September 30th. Moose season runs from September 5th through September 30th.
The Experience
Experience the deep Alaskan wilderness by floating a remote section of river. Hunting for Caribou, Moose, and Wolves as you go along with the ability to fish grayling and other species depending on which river you are one.
What’s Included
Pick up and drop off from the Fairbanks Airport, lodging before and after the bush flight, one meat flight, raft rental, services of a licensed pilot, help with coordinations of meat and antler transport after the hunt.
You are responsible for commercial flights to Fairbanks, hunting and fishing licenses, locking tags.
